Okay, so the Mississippi and Grouper vinyl are on order and hopefully will be in this week or the next. This week should definitely see the arrival of the Dead Weather Triple Decker 12" and I will post to the site and to the Facebook when they hit the floor. At the moment, there's a few things to note regarding new vinyl.
1. We're down to our very last copy of Magnetic Fields' 69 Love Songs and we won't be getting more (I think it was ltd to 1500). Once this one's gone, you're out of luck unless someone brings one in used.
2. Hydrahead is saying they're out of stock on the limited editions of Pelican's City of Echoes and The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw. We've presently got one of each.
3. The Boris 7"s came in on Saturday and sold out on Saturday. If you want me to try and get you one, let me know. Same goes for the Boris & Ian Astbury LP.
4. One of our regulars says he has two copies of Mono's Gone, a triple LP set that was limited to 3000 and is out of print. He's bringing one into the store this week (probably Tuesday night). We can't get more sealed copies of this so this is the only way you're gonna be able to nab one. Speaking of Mono, we currently have stock on One More Step and You Die in the ltd 2LP version (one disc is of remixes).
5. Other items we're down to one copy of and won't be getting re-ups on due to being out of print are: Nina Nastasia's Outlaster, and Sublime Frequencies' Saigon Rock & Soul: Vietnamese Classic Tracks 1968-1974.
In non-wax related news:
a. We bought about 4 dozen Blu Rays this weekend. They're priced $6.99 to $16.99.
b. We bought several hundred good CDs of 80s/90s era pop and rock.
And for no particular reason besides me liking it, here's Barbara Lynn:
