So I've been out in LA for a week or so. I've seen lots of interesting people and met a few as well. On Friday I was at a party with a few artists who I thought I'd share with you.

(The party was thrown by Harley Cross, one of the owners of Hint Mint, which are seriously delicious mints. I've never seen them in Toronto but they're worth tracking down or ordering through the company web store. Without question, Harley's loft is the most fantastic home I've ever set foot in. Stunning.)

First up is poet Ellyn Maybe. Her first CD has just come out on Hen House Studios: Rodeo for the Sheepish. It's a lovely affair. I may see Ellyn again on Wednesday so if you'd like me to grab one of her CDs for you, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and I'll bring one back for you. Not sure what the price'll be but I'll pass it on profit-free so you'll just pay what I pay. Here's a video of one of the tracks:

Some of the music/vocal is by Tommy Jordan, who you might know from Geggy Tah, a band whose CDs we regularly stock. Tommy was also at the party and it was a pleasure talking with him. Here's some random stranger "hooping" to some Geggy Tah:

I also talked a bit with Nathan and Clark, who make up The Good Listeners. They've recently released a CD/DVD set called Don't Quit Your Daydream. The CD's an album; the DVD's a documentary. Here's the trailer:

Again, if this is something you'd be interested in owning, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and I'll see if I can get more copies which you can have for my cost.

Also in attendance was Nirvan Mullick, director of The One Second Film, which I'm now a producer of. You can become one too--check out the site for details. I even took a short ride in the Oprah Bus. Woohoo!
